"Bernie Shine is one of the most fascinating and charming men my wife and I have had the pleasure of knowing. We would watch him perform anywhere, anytime. He's got old school charm and that's what we like. There are lots of magicians, but he's different. He'll mesmerize your heart."
— Peter Marshall, Iconic Host of Hollywood Squares

“Bernie Shine is not only a good friend but the perfect host. Still puzzling over a card trick he showed me on my last visit, I asked if he has anything new. Out comes the deck and with a quick shuffle he will show me a trick so incredible that I can’t believe what I just saw. Then comes a quick finale that is not only startling, but moves the thought of magic into a higher reality. Don’t miss him!”
— Fred Willard, Comedic Actor

“Bernie is an original and his act made me rethink my own sanity.”
— Jeff Ross, Comedy Central’s “RoastMaster General”

"I believe Bernie Shine's middle name is ‘Magic,’ because that is what he delivers, Magical, Magic!"
— JoAnne Worley, Comedic Actress and Entertainer

“Bernie Shine is a showman who brings flair and humor to everything he does.”
— Leonard Maltin, Film Critic and  Historian

“Bernie Shine's show is an up-close and personal experience. But as close as you are, you'll still won't be able to figure out how he does what he does. He's fascinating and funny!”
— George Pennacchio, Los Angeles "Entertainment Guru," ABC7 Television.

“An evening with Bernie is always MAGICAL….with or without his feats of wizardry.”
— Ruta Lee, Actress and Entertainer

“A brilliant magician and a darling person!”
— Phyllis Diller, Comedian

"My favorite kind of magic is close up magic.  The kind of amazement that happens, not in a box on a stage, but in the open, on a table top right in front of your eyes.  My friend Bernie Shine is Master of such bewilderment. A simple deck of cards, in Bernie's hands, becomes a cast of performers doing impossible feats of astonishment."
— Jay Johnson, Ventriloquist

"Bernie makes the impossible seem possible."

— Doris Roberts, Actress

“I love watching Bernie do magic. It's like stepping back in time to the glory days at the Magic Castle.”
— Andy Nyman, Actor/Magician

“Intimate surprise takes on new meaning with the close-up impossibilities of Bernie Shine...It is not ...how did he do it? It is ‘Why can't my eyes keep up with his hands?’ He makes 'Unbelievers' - Believers of the impossible."
— Al Schwartz, Executive Producer of Masters of Illusion

"Bernie Shine is a legend within a mystery."
— Brett Barry, The Phoenix Mentalist

"Bernie Shine is a rarely seen and extraordinary magician that will make you doubt your own eyes."
— Chris Nichols, Los Angeles Magazine

"Bernie Shine makes magic look easy. But try to figure out how he does it and you will be baffled. I remain a perpetually puzzled participant in Bernie’s shows."
— Linda Deutsch, Associated Press Special Correspondent

“Shine combines playing card wizardry with mind-boggling mentalism. His magic is close-up and personal, intimate and inexplicable.”
— The Beverly Press Newspaper

Bernie Shine is one of Hollywood’s most beloved and distinguished gentlemen. He’s multi-talented, an artist and magician . . ."
 ". . . phenomenal entertainer."
— Tommy Lightfoot Garrett, HighlightHollywood.com

"If you like magic, laughter and intimacy no one puts this package together better than magician raconteur Bernie Shine. My wife and I have twice enjoyed an evening of fun and magic at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles. The highlight is that about 20 people sit around a table. Bernie knows the names of the entire the audience and all are included in his show. Often with members of the audience doing all the work, an illusion is performed that is impossible to fathom. Is it magic or sorcery? I’m not sure, but it is an incredibly delightful evening. I highly recommend being fooled by Bernie Shine."
